From Burberry's $38 million incineration to Coach's shredded "unsaleables," the industry has treated overproduction as an unavoidable cost of doing business.

This ban is a powerful step forward. It says: you can no longer burn your mistakes and call it strategy.

But here's the honest truth, friends. Treating the symptoms - the waste, the materials, the energy - isn't enough if we don't also address the disease.
